About the Author

Lydia Charlemagne was born and raised on the island of St. Lucia within a climate of rich oral traditions. From childhood she became passionate about books, culture, local history, and the outdoors. It was these passions that would lead her to a career in teaching English Literature, Caribbean History and Environmental Education. A firm believer in the idea that one person can make a difference, she manages to find time to get involved in cultural heritage promotion, environmental awareness, community development and youth advocacy.
