Description

For years, south Dallas has been ruled by a corrupt caste of politicians who espouse populist rhetoric. Growing fat and rich while their constituents wallow in crime and poverty. Jebediah Shaw never wanted to make the city his home. It had never been more than a place to rest between wars. And now, working in that dark area between government and private business, he's given an impossible task. To keep a man alive that everyone, including himself, has a reason to want dead while choosing sides in a Civil War no one even knows is happening. At the beginning of the end of the American empire, at the edge of what was and what will be, he knows in the end all a man has, all he has any control over, is his word and his work. He will do whatever it takes to complete his mission. Dallas, may never be the same.

About the Author

"S.A. Bailey is a writer, blogger, semi-professional gun nut, occasional glutton, and accidental satirist. A former paratrooper and veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in Iraq with E Co. 51st Infantry, Long Range Surveillance. He likes good food, strong drink, dogs, and not much else. He grew up in East Texas and lived in Dallas for several years. A summer 2016 graduate of the University of North Texas / PDI Professional Private Investigation course, he has worked and continues to work, intermittently, in both security and investigations. He can be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/sabaileyfanpage, his podcast at http: //astronetradio.com/podcasts/sabaileyproject, instgram at s.a._bailey, Twitter @bigbabyjesus16, and of course, at www.sabaileyproject.com. Philosophically a rational, individual anarchist, and politically a libertarian jingoist, he dwells on the loneliest dot of the political map. A work in progress- a long, long work in progress, he gets by the only way he knows how, and obsessively chronicles his adventures and thoughts on a wide range of subjects on various social media.
