About the Author

She is the author of MathArts, Discovering Great Artists, Great American Artists for Kids, Scribble Art, Mudworks, and many others. MaryAnn is a well-known speaker internationally on process art. She lives in Ferndale, Washington, with her pup, Frances.

Jean Potter is the author of CookingArt, Science in Seconds for Kids, and Science in Seconds at the Beach, among others. She has been a kindergarten teacher, state director of early childhood education for West Virginia, acting assistant secretary of education for the US Department of Education, and deputy chief of staff for the US Environmental Protection Agency. Jean currently works for the US House of Representatives. Jean resides in Charleston, West Virginia, and Seabrook Island, South Carolina, with her husband and their triplets.
