About the Author

Lawrence M. Hopp, M.D., M.S., ., completed a combined medical school and graduate school program at the Chicago Medical School and now specializes in cornea and external eye diseases and surgery. A cornea specialist, Dr. Hopp is in private practice at the Beverly Hills Center for Vision Correction in Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Hopp offers collagen cross-linking for patients with progressive keratoconus and post-LASIK ectasia.

After medical school, Dr. Hopp completed a fellowship at the Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California. Following his ophthalmology training at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Dr. Hopp completed a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the University of Texas in San Antonio. Currently he is on the clinical faculty at the Stein Eye Institute at U.C.L.A.; he is an attending physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

As a cornea specialist, Dr. Hopp has been invited to universities and international meetings to lecture on topics of cornea diseases and refractive surgery. He has also published in ophthalmology journals and received an award as the best speaker at an American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery meeting. He has taught at the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology.
