About the Author

Katherine Aigner started collaborating with the Vatican Ethnological Museum in 2009. Since then she has researched its indigenous collections and re-connected them with source communities around the world. She curated the permanent display of the Indigenous Australian collection at the Vatican Museums, and currently she is researching their Oceania and Africa collections. Bruce Pascoe is a school teacher, farmer, Director of Commonwealth Australian Studies project, and editor. He published and edited Australian Short Stories quarterly magazine for 16 years, and was joint winner (with David Foster) of Australian Literature Award (1999). Bruce is a member of Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative, Bunurong heritage, and is a Board member of Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages.
